London Borough of Newham (LBON) has awarded Radiocoms with a three-year contract to design and deploy safety enhancing BBPTT technology to support their Civil Enforcement Officers (CEO). The agreement covers the provision of a cloud-based Group Communications as a Service (GCaaS) and Broadband push to talk (BBPTT) smart devices on the LTE network.
Mark Blythe, Radiocoms Systems Ltd, commented, “Radiocoms team of digital specialists have worked with NC’s stakeholders’ to address their pain points instead of using a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. The GPS location-aware system will ensure their CEO’s are visible and connected, while intelligent cloud-based software will allow them to administer decisions in an environment where safety can be a major concern. We are looking forward to supporting NC on the delivery of this project.”
Secure, and easy-to-use the future-ready Telo T590+ smart mobile device was selected for its ability to record voice transmissions, and share photographic and video evidence in real-time, even in the most challenging of environments. Any data and information captured is stored securely within the system management platform.
Mike Wiltshire, Airsys.Cloud, added, “We are excited to collaborate with Radiocoms on this deployment. This will not only allow NC wide area, instant communications on a group and 1 to 1 level, but also provide their field users with a British Standard (BS8484) compliant Lone Worker Solution giving confidence that alarms can be raised in any eventuality and responded to as efficiently as possible. We look forward to what is sure to be a growing user requirement across the borough, and further developing our partnership with ever forward thinking Radiocoms.”
Mark Blythe concluded, “Radiocoms has seen a significant increase in demand across numerous industries for ‘software as a service’ that can support new or existing devices and BYOD policies. A roaming SIM ensures a wider geographical coverage footprint without the need for infrastructure to be installed, whilst device maintenance requirements can often be addressed remotely, supporting significant annual savings.”
