London, January 2024 – Radiocoms Systems Ltd (Radiocoms) has won a contract with Queens Park Rangers Football Club (QPR FC) based in Shepherd’s Bush, London to upgrade their onsite analogue two-way radio system.
Following a comprehensive review of both DMR two way radio and broadband push to talk technology QPR’s management team selected the industry leading MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus technology. Radiocoms was chosen for their extensive experience in deploying business critical communication systems following a successful competitive process.
The purpose of this system will be to support their MOTOTRBO R7 digital hand portable two-way radio users including security personnel, medical staff, cleaners, turnstile operators, and stadium management. By utilising Capacity Plus and enabling safety features such as lone worker and man down on the portable radios, staff will have the ability to send important notifications and emergency alerts to a centralised location for assistance during match days.
Moreover, the MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus system, equipped with transmit interrupt, will ensure vital communication is given top priority precisely when it is required.
Terry Staff, Account Manager, Radiocoms, “We understand the immense importance of player welfare and security within the realm of professional sports, and Motorola Solutions portfolio is specifically designed to address these critical concerns. We are excited about the opportunity to work closely with QPR and building a long-lasting relationship. Together, we will create a safe and secure environment, allowing QPR to focus on what they do best.”
Paul Moran, Operations Manager, QPR FC, “Radiocoms were fantastic in specifying our new radio system, they fully understood the brief and delivered exactly what we requested. We look forward to continuing our partnership in the future.”
