The opening of the Lexicon provided an opportunity for a new radio system to be deployed, that covered not only the centre but the wider town centre. Members of the Management Team had been familiar with MOTOTRBO having made use of it in Princess Square. In time for opening day all stakeholders had reviewed the portfolio of products and chosen a specification that gave both the Management and Tenants, a future proof solution, to respond to the demands of a busy retail environment.

Capacity Plus was enabled to simplify the use and increase the efficiency of this soon to be busy system. The coverage from the new system was checked, the features to be used confirmed and talks with the IT contractors held.
TRBOnet Plus was provided to the IT Contractor and installed on to the Servers and desktop computers within the Centre. An effective dispatch management and control solution helps you optimise team communications to deliver greater efficiency and operational results. With voice calls, email and text messaging, job ticketing plus continuous radio status and location tracking.
When the day came, a team on of engineers first installed the SLR5500 and tuned it to provide optimum coverage, whilst meeting the strict guidelines. The radios were delivered and went into immediate service, being used by the Security, Facilities and Management Team.
