Motorola Solutions Wave BBPTT group chat feature is a secure, encrypted chat service that allows teams and individuals to communicate in a secure, private environment.
The user can create a group chat by selecting the “create group chat” option on their TLK100 / TLK110 device or WAVE PTX app. The user can then invite other WAVE PTX users to join the group chat, and any messages, photos or files sent will appear to all members of the group (smart device only).
User case for Group chat:
Challenge: Multiple users, using different devices, working in different teams need to be able to collaborate as part of a single workgroup for a specific incident happening on site.
Solution: The WAVE PTX Dispatch client can use the ‘area talkgroup feature’. Simply define the area required on the map, and select the users that are required to be a member of the dynamic area talkgroup. Users will automatically join the talkgroup and can communicate with colleagues using all WAVE PTX features .
