The three stage protocol stun-disable-revive function provides a temporary safety feature on every two-way radio to prevent its unauthorised use where the device has been mislaid, lost, or stolen. Activated by your radio partner, system manager or administrator the disable and enable function can be activated remotely.
For example, if your radio has been stolen and is being used illegally, your system administrator can send a message to the radio regardless of location which will temporarily stun the radio and inhibit all its functionalities. This feature can also be beneficial if the radio system is being abused by a user who is not complying with your organisations operational and communication protocols.
If the radio is relocated the revive function can be activated to return the radio to operational use by an unstun signal being sent from the system administrator or returning the radio for reprogramming to your radio supplier. If a two-way radio is deemed to have been permanently lost, the user can send a remote stun signal from another device to the lost radio permanently disabling all its programmed functions.
