After a successful audit, Radiocoms Systems Ltd has been awarded the ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management Certification (previously accredited to OHSAS 18001:2007 from March 2014). The transition to this new certification only highlights further their dedication to improve both employee safety as well as their organisation. Through a proactive approach, they aim to deliver their voice & data communication solutions to the highest possible standard.
The new ISO 45001:2018 standard requires an organisational structure where the roles and responsibilities are driven forward with the involvement and commitment from Senior Management. It also requires evidence that:
- Documented information is being controlled
- Risks and opportunities are considered
- Actions to address risks and opportunities are identified & managed
All Radiocoms employees undergo rigorous training to ensure they can carry out their job role in the safest possible way. In addition, any engineers that carry out duties on a client’s premises undertake role specific qualifications, inductions/briefings and toolbox talks to reinforce the company’s policy to eliminate hazards and minimise OH&S risks. ISO 45001:2018 also enables them, through their OH&S management system, to integrate other aspects of health and safety, such as worker wellness/wellbeing.
