UK communications provider Radiocoms Systems Limited (Radiocoms), has been awarded a seven-year contract by Sellafield Ltd – the multi-function nuclear site.
During the tender process, Radiocoms responses to the marked scenarios and overall value of its proposal were pivotal in distinguishing it from its competitors. This is the latest Crown Commercial Services (CCS) contract won by Radiocoms following its appointment to the government’s framework in 2019.
Radiocoms security cleared Northern engineering team responsibilities for Sellafield will involve the delivery of 24x7x365 support, and preventative and reactive maintenance solutions for lifecycle asset management of the two-way radio communication system utilised by Sellafield’s engineers, control rooms and the Civil Nuclear Constabulary.
Under the terms of the agreement, Radiocoms will deliver a phased approach as Sellafield move from an interim service model to a managed service package. These services will be delivered to fully reflect Sellafield’s commitment to health and safety, operational readiness, and employee well-being.
Paul Jenkins, Senior Business Manager, and Contract Manager for Sellafield, Radiocoms said ““Having been nominated as the service delivery manager for this contract it has been a challenging but rewarding twelve months working alongside some of the most diligent individuals across the industry and I look forward to the next six years.”

We look forward to continuing to grow the relationship with Radiocoms.”
