Respond faster to security incidents with Avigilon’s new Radio Alert facility

Avigilon Radio Alert takes their easy-to-use video management software that leverages advanced artificial intelligence and video analytics and integrates it with Motorola Solutions MOTOTRBO two-way radios that offer exceptional voice quality, keeping the workforce connected.

This solution enables users to receive and acknowledge Avigilon Control Center (ACC) alarms from their MOTOTRBO radio system. Alerts of activity happening onsite are dispatched directly to their radios via text message and/or text-to-voice alerts. This allows security personnel to be notified through their MOTOTRBO radios so that when analytics or access control events occur, they can quickly investigate without needing to monitor activity on a computer screen.

Integration Model
Configured ACC alarms are sent to the Radio Alert software using the ACC Web Endpoint Service. A donor radio transmits the alarms to the radio network as text or voice alarms. The donor radio must be a mobile radio. Responders receive and acknowledge alarms on their endpoint radios. Endpoint radios can be either mobile or portable radios.

Avigilon Radio Alerts delivers the alert via:
1. Voice Alert – this dispatches a message, for example, an unauthorised entry.
2. Text Alert – this dispatches the same message but within a text format, this acts as a valuable redundancy, for example in a high noise or emergency environment messages can easily be missed.

Requirements – Radio Network

• MOTOTRBO or ASTRO Radios with Text Messaging Service
• At least 1 mobile radio as the donor radios
• As many mobile and portable radios as required for the endpoint radios
