What is your role at Radiocoms?

I’m in charge of the Logistics team at Radiocoms HQ in Park Royal, London. My job involves making sure everything runs smoothly when it comes to moving our products. I lead a fantastic team, and together we handle the logistics to keep our customers satisfied and operations flowing efficiently. It’s about making sure we have the right processes in place and being able to adapt quickly when things change.

What does a typical day at work look like for you?

Every day starts with me diving into my emails to stay on top of client requests and communication with the rest of the company, followed by planning out the day’s tasks for the Logistics team. Throughout the day, I keep an eye on how the team is doing, ensuring everyone is on the right track and jumping in to help wherever I’m needed. On some days, I focus on large orders, most recently 16 pallets, which equated to 1,000 MOTOTRBO radios, working with other departments to ensure we met our deadlines.

Another important part of my day is ensuring our warehouse meets health and safety standards, so everyone can work in a secure environment.

What has your career journey at Radiocoms looked like?

I’ve been with Radiocoms for 8½ years now, and it’s been an incredible journey. When I started, the logistics team was just me, and now it’s grown to four people! Seeing this growth has been really rewarding. Beyond logistics, I’ve also had the opportunity to manage the Bench Engineers and Service department, which offered me new challenges and allowed me to expand my skills. It’s been a fulfilling experience, and I’ve learned so much along the way.

What’s your ideal day off?

On my days off, I love to mix things up a bit. I enjoy drawing and painting, and I’ve even taken some classes at The Arts Academy to improve my skills. Spending time with friends is also important to me, whether it’s catching up over coffee or something more adventurous. But sometimes, nothing beats a quiet day at home. I like to relax and watch a good movie or series on one of the streaming services I subscribe to. My perfect day off is really about doing a bit of everything I love.
