Radiocoms Systems Ltd supplies MOTOTRBO Capacity Plus System to City Of London School

Project Details

City of London School is an independent day school for boys in the City of London, located on the banks of the River Thames next to the Millennium Bridge, opposite Tate Modern and sitting in the shadow of St. Paul’s Cathedral.

The school provides day education to approximately 930 pupils and employs over 100 teaching staff and another 100 visiting staff and non-teaching staff.

Radiocoms was approached by a member of the school’s staff in October 2017, after being recommended by another of the City of London Corporations sites, to arrange a site survey of the school’s premises with the aim of being able to provide radio coverage for the entire site.

Following the successful site survey, Radiocoms’ engineering team designed a distributed antenna system to provide the required radio coverage and began discussing key functionality with the school.

Following these discussions the school decided to opt for a MOTOTRBO digital radio system with Capacity Plus to maximise the efficiency of the radio groups and channels as well as affording all radio users the ability to contact the entire radio fleet at the push of a button in the event of an emergency.

Radiocoms has provided the school with 30 Motorola DP4601e handsets, all equipped with high capacity Impres batteries and built in mandown functionality for added safety.
